Low Acid Fruit Smoothies Recipe

Low Acid Fruit Smoothie. it’s exactly that. mellow, creamy, no fire-in-the-throat aftertaste.
it’s just fruit and cold things smashed in a blender — takes like 3 minutes, maybe 4 if you peel slowly. honestly the easiest thing i’ve “cooked” all week.

Ingredients Needed

  • 1 quart strawberries: hulled, sweet ones work best, not the tart ones.
  • 2 fresh peaches: peeled and sliced. not the canned kind unless you rinse ‘em like mad.
  • 1 banana: ripe but not too mushy, broken into chunks.
  • 2 cups ice: or frozen fruit, if you hate watered-down smoothies.
  • 1 cup orange-peach-mango juice: look for low-acid or “no citric acid added” on the label.

How To Make Low Acid Fruit Smoothie

Blend the base:
Dump the strawberries, peaches, and banana in your blender. Hit the button. Wait for it to go smooth. That’s it. Don’t overthink it.

Add cold stuff:
Toss in ice or frozen fruit, whatever you got. Pour in the juice. Blend again. It’ll sound loud, like a mini helicopter. That means it’s working.

Recipe Tips

  • Use super ripe fruit — makes it sweeter, no need for added sugar.
  • Frozen fruit is clutch. It’s cheaper, lasts longer, and keeps it thick.
  • If the juice has citric acid, maybe skip it — sub pear juice or melon chunks.
  • Drink it cold or not at all. Warm smoothie = no thanks.

How to Store & Reheat

  • Room Temperature: don’t. it gets weird fast.
  • Fridge: airtight jar, 24 hours tops. shake before drinking.
  • Freezer: pour into ice cube trays, freeze, re-blend with a splash of juice.

FAQs

Is this actually low acid?

Yep. None of the fruits are acid bombs, and you dodge citrus. Just check the juice label.

Can I skip the banana?

Sure. Texture’ll be a little less creamy, but you’ll survive.

What other fruits work?

Pears, melons, papaya. Basically anything not citrusy or tangy.

Is this reflux-safe?

Mostly, yeah. Just make sure your juice isn’t sneaky with added acids.

Can I use almond milk instead of juice?

Totally. It’ll be a little blander but even gentler.

Cool, creamy smoothie with sweet mellow fruit and no acidic burn — good for gentle mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled

  • 2 peaches, peeled & sliced

  • 1 banana, chopped

  • 2 cups ice or frozen fruit

  • 1 cup low-acid juice (orange-peach-mango or swap)

Directions

  • Blend strawberries, peaches, banana until smooth.
  • Add ice and juice.
  • Blend again until thick and creamy.
  • Taste. Add more juice if too thick.
  • Serve cold, right away.

Notes

  • Swap juice if it has citric acid — pear juice works great.
  • Use frozen fruit instead of ice if you want it less watery.
  • Don’t let it sit out too long — texture gets weird.
  • Add a splash of almond milk if you want it creamier.
